During the 1950's, Mr. Hermann H?rmann, the second-generation successor of H?rmann Group, made an important decision—acquiring the up-and-over garage door patent, and started the production of the "Berry" series up-and-over garage doors. This successful strategy laid the foundation for the company's achievements today. The sectional door featuring vertical lifting and space saving that appeared during the 1960's soon became an ideal choice for garages, industrial plants and commercial buildings, and ushered in a series of future-oriented research and development actions. Since then, H?rmann has been keeping on developing new products and enriching product structures, which now include rolling shutters, sliding doors, high-speed doors, entrance doors, interior doors, door frames, door operators, fire-rated doors and loading technologies as well as automatic sliding door control systems and access control systems.
